The souvenir t-shirt to James Franco's 'Of Mice and Men' play isn't half bad.

New York Daily News theater critic Joe Dziemianowicz enjoyed the play (easy now, Franco!), but he really likes the souvenir $30 t-shirt for sale in the lobby.

Says Dziemianowicz :

It’s a souvenir shirt that sees the world through Lennie’s eyes — childlike and innocent. Even when the world is anything but.

I noticed the shirt as I was leaving the theater. That’s when a rabbit caught my eye.

Tiny, white and with long ears pointed straight up like side-by-side exclamation points, the critter was staring out at me from a black T-shirt on sale near the exit.

The last time a piece of clothing was this hypnotic to someone was Pippa Middleton's bridesmaid dress, and that didn't even come with a souvenir.

James Franco doesn't take kindly to New York Times criticism of his new play 'Of Mice and Men.'

John Steinbeck's 'Of Mice and Men' is back on Broadway (hide your baby rabbits!), starring James Franco as George and Chris O'Dowd as Lenny. And while reviews generally have been filled with high praise, James Franco is irked with the New York Times critic offering only a shoulder shrug of appreciation.

And when you're a pissed off actor today, it's time to hit the Twitter machine and let your verbal vengeance fly. Cue the Franco fisticuffs:

“Sadly Ben Brantley and the NYT have embarrassed themselves. Brantley is such a little bitch he should be working for Gawker.com instead of the paper of record. The theater community hates him, and for good reason, he’s an idiot.”

Well, that's got to sting for Brantley. If Franco keeps that up, Ben Brantley might get shivved by a 17-year old girl in a Whole Foods parking lot.

In a moment of need, NYU student who was stuck between buildings thought of a James Franco movie.

NYU student Asher Vongtau spent 36hrs wedged between two buildings after falling off his dorm's roof before, finally, school security found him stuck in an incredibly tight space. In a surprise to no one, alcohol was involved before falling.

Vongtau's mother tells DNAinfo New York that her son remembered James Franco's movie 127 Hours--the true story of a climber stuck under a desert boulder who cut off his arm to free himself. "He thought, 'Am I gonna have to do that?'" said Habiba Vongtau .

Not unless he planned on slicing and dicing up limbs and torso, as Vongtau's entire body was stuck. That small fact, plus the tiny matter that most underage drunken college students don't equip themselves with utility knives like desert mountain climbers--but, hey, minor points.

Realizing the grim fate that awaited him while encouraged by the industrious cinematic spirit of James Franco, Vongtau yelled for help. Eventually rescued, he's now recuperating from a fractured skull, pelvis, and arm.

This is a great reminder for everyone. When life has you down, fondly remember an appropriate James Franco movie. Like whenever I'm having trouble with my superhero powers I think of Franco as The Green Goblin, and then I don't feel so bad.
