But after dyeing her hair a shade of blue only Johnny Rotten or Billy Idol could rock, people started brightening up around her, shaking her hand, appreciating her a little more."While young people sparkle like diamonds, old folks are invisible — except, as I discovered, if you have bright blue hair," she writes.
