Jacksonville high school named after KKK grand wizard to be rebranded something less racist.

Voting unanimously, the Duval County (FL) School Board decided to rename the Nathan Bedford Forrest High School. The school was originally named after Forrest, a former Confederate general and Ku Klux Klan grand wizard, back in 1959 during the height of the civil rights era.

While Forrest renounced his affiliations with the KKK late in life, his connection to the hate group's early years sparked outrage among modern Jacksonville citizens.

New potential school names include Westside High and Firestone High.
