Rapper Rick Ross is now writing an advice column for Rolling Stone Magazine. It's like Dear Abby if soccer moms drank Cristal while rolling in the minivan. Having trouble with your love life? Issues with your job? You can pay a therapist and get reasonable advice, or you can get feedback from a man who's been sued and arrested seemingly on a weekly basis.
Recently, a student posed the following question to Ross:
"My English teacher assigned us a paper on The Great Gatsby. I never did the reading – but my older brother got an A on a Great Gatsby paper at another school a few years ago. There's no way I could get caught. Should I just hand in his paper?" —Freddie, Toronto
Being a man of reason, Ross had this to say to Freddie:
"Look over your left shoulder and your right shoulder. Why not? We've all heard the Great Gatsby story thousands of times. Hand in that paper, make your teacher proud and spend that time on something else."
Nothing makes a teacher more proud than sibling plagiarism!
