California couple uses counterfeit money to buy Girl Scout cookies.

A man and woman in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, individually went up to the same Girl Scout troop selling cookies outside a grocery store and bought a variety of boxes using fake $50 bills. According to KABC in Los Angeles, the girls even used a counterfeit detection pen on the money to make sure it was real, and said the bills passed.

"The girls are heartbroken," said troop leader Cheryl Williams to KABC. "Because they do trust, this is a life lesson for them."

I think we can all agree the real lesson here is that Girl Scouts are wielding counterfeit detection pens.
