Neil Gailman's 'Neverwhere' removed from New Mexico high school after parent complaint.

Nancy Wilmott came across the book in her daughter's high school reading material and apparently didn't like what she saw from Neil Gaiman.

As she told New Mexico's KRQE news, "I cannot read this to you and put it on the news. It's too inappropriate. It's that bad."

This must be a revelation to the BBC, which created an all-star radio adaptation of Neverwhere earlier this year. Those saucy Brits!

Wilmott's outrage is over what she claims is sexual innuendo, fantasy violence, and harsh language.

As a result, Wilmott complained to the school administrator, which resulted in the book--which had been reading material at the school for nearly a decade--to be removed.

As Wilmott continued to tell KRQE, "A parent can't read a 400-page book to find out if it's inappropriate."

Absolutely. Because if someone else isn't going to raise your kids, who is?
