What makes it so rare? It's only the second photo of her known to exist.
Believed to be taken in 1860, the daguerreotype apparently shows a 30-year old Dickinson with her friend, and possible lover, Kate Scott Turner.
The only known photo of Dickinson known to exist before this was from 1847.
