Maria Keller, a Minnesota native, started the book drive when she was 8-years old after her mother told her not all children around the world get a bedtime story to read.
This is very similar when I was 13-years old and ate one million calories in the form of Funyuns. In that I was fat and lazy as a 13-year old and accomplished nothing.
